Some Recent Buys

This weekend I was very naughty and bought things... but it's OK because they didn't really cost me very much.

B&M is an absolute gold mine at the moment for all things shabby chic. My past few visits to the store have resulted in much umming and ahhing over which bits I should buy as everything is absolutely gorgeous! This time round I played it safe by picking up some oven gloves as we were in need of another pair. I also got the memo board because it is an absolute steal at that price! Most other shops seem to have them at around the £8 mark - Bargain! The lights were also a necessary purchase, I felt. Though I'm still not entirely sure where I'm going to put them as our home doesn't house a fireplace... I'll think of somewhere.

No doubt I'll be heading back there soon to pick up more bits and bobs. They do the heart shaped plates and bowls too which I've noticed a fair few bloggers possess, which I am rather envious of - so sweet!

And of course this post wouldn't be true to character if it didn't contain stuff from Primark... ;)

I saw this dress and just had to have. It was £13 which I usually begrudge and it was also in a bigger size but after trying it on, it was fine and I couldn't say no. This dress is very me :) It's one of those that would look nice dressed up for a night out, and one to pair with a nice thick knit cardi and flats for a more casual look. Larvly!

I also wandered over to the underwear section and snapped up these beauties. They were marked down to £3 for the bra and only £1 for the knickers! Not usually a colour I would wear but they're very pretty and "English Rose".

Have you had any good buys recently?x

Bits&Bobs

My Mum came to see me this weekend so I decided to take her to Nottingham seeing as she's never been, for a shopping trip. When I go shopping my boyfriend despises going into the cheap shops so it's always good to go with my Mum as we like grabbing ourselves a good bargain!

I took advantage of the 99p Store and Poundland as our Poundlands' (yes Lincoln has just about 2 of everything!) don't seem to stock as much good stuff as the ones in other cities. I nabbed myself these bargains:

A pack of 60 paper doilies of varying sizes, pot pouri, fake flowers, a 2 pack of fancy scissors. The first three are from 99p Store, the latter from Poundland. I also bought a roll of adhesive window shield to put on the front door. £1 is a serious bargain for that stuff as the cheapest I've seen it prior to this is £5 in Wilkinsons or from Ebay/Amazon.

We also went to Primark. We managed to get to the train station just as the train had pulled off, and seeing as transport in Lincoln is dire, decided to go into Lincoln centre Primark to grab some gloves for my cold handies as I'd forgotten to pick them up when we left the house. Of course we then visited the larger one in Nottingham too.

Blue bra £3, Knickers £1, Socks (mens) £1
(The bra is actually a mega gorgeous blue, phone camera is rubbish!)
These were too cute not to get!!! Heart was only £1.50 and is a really good size. Fox cushion was only £6!! They're also doing the owls too. I know Primark like to rip off other brands but I don't even care. £6 is an amazing deal and they're both of good quality too.

This dress is stunning!! A lovely damask print, cotton feeling skater dress. It's only a size 8 sadly so I hope to God it fits!! We went on a real mission to find more of these, even roping in 3 shop assistants to help but this was the only one after scouring high and low. They reckon it's new stock though... Also the cardi is a lovely blue/grey colour. Both me and my Mum fell in love with it so both had to have it! Was reduced to £7 down from £14 in the Lincoln store but still full price in Nottingham.

What do you think of my purchases?x

My Asda Bargains

Went to Asda yesterday and got myself some right little bargains!

First off these girls boots. Asda kids boots go up to a size 6 so you should never discount the kids section! £13! And they're so comfy. I know I'll get a lot of use out of them :)

Next up I got 2 of these men's white t-shirts in a size medium. 50p each! They will come in great for some crafts I have in mind :) - sorry they're crumpled to buggery!

Next up are these jars. They're very big in size and will also come in handy for some crafts. £1 each. I think they're usually between £1.75-£2.50 so a nice saving :)

I then bought this huge under the bed storage box for £5. Perfect for putting in gift wrap etc.

Finally. These were only 50p for the Maltesers and £1 for the Jelly Babies... so I got 2 of the former and 4 of the latter! I know it's naughty buying sweets but they've actually got decent sell-by-dates on them so as a bit of a cheapskate people will be receiving these as gifts ;D but seriously why spend the RRP on these things which is usually £1-2 for the Maltesers and £3+ for the Jelly Babies!?

Hope you're liking my cheap finds :)
